Re: Anyone with Vascular injuries, esp subclavian
<t>Sorry I haven't replied. I've been busy the last few days. I developed a subclavian thrombosis about 3 years ago. My doctor said it was a result of heavy lifting at work. I had coumadin therapy for about three months, and the remaining blockage was removed with angioplasty. I was told my first ri...

Re: Anyone with Vascular injuries, esp subclavian
I too had a subclavian blockage and had surgery to relieve it. But I received my tbpi as a result of the surgery. I had to have my first rib removed, and the vascular surgeon stretched my nerves for better access.

Re: Medication
Hi,
I'm taking carbamazepine (also called tegretol) right now. It seems to dull the pain, but it makes me dizzy and light headed. My vision gets blurry from time to time and I get a dry mouth, but it's better than being in pain.

Re: Please describe your pain (if you have any!)
<t>Hi,<br/> <br/> I have burning pain on the inside of my right arm starting at my armpit down to my wrist. At times it feels like it's in a deep frier. Also it is super sensitive to touch. The wind or someone brushing up against me drives me crazy. I also have random shooting pains from my collar b...

Re: Help me understand.....
<t>I too had a popping sensation in my shoulder from heavy lifting about 2 years ago. It did not cause my bpi, but it did eventually cause a subclavian blood clot. The brachial plexus and the subclavian vein and artery run between the clavical and the first rib. My doctor said my firt rib or clavica...

Re: Tendonitis, BPI Related?
Thanks for your reply Kathleen. I've gotten to the point where I don't readily trust doctors anymore.
Have a wonderful day.

Tendonitis, BPI Related?
Just wondering if anyone has developed tendonitis in the hand affected by BPI. I was just diagnosed with flexor tendonitis or "trigger fingers" in 3 of my fingers. My doctor said it wasn't related to my BPI. Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks,
Roy
Thanks,

Re: ROLL CALL ( LURKERS TOO!!!!!!! )
<t>Hi everyone. I have a right bpi as a result of a blood clot surgery in 2000. My right first rib was removed to relieve pressure on a vein that had clotted. During the surgery, the vascular surgeon thought it was alright to stretch my nerves out of the way. Anyway, I'm not as bad off as most peopl...

Re: Neurontin
<t>Hi Debi. I tried Neurontin but it made me incredibly drowsy and dizzy. I wanted to sleep all day. I guess it has different affects on different people though. As for the burning pain, my doctor just recommended capsacian cream. I've only been using it a few days and haven't noticed any improvemen...
