Re: need to vent....
<t>I feel for you, and people not knowing much about this injury just don't understand. This is an injury that is life long. Unlike a death that is tragic, but is over, done, a sorrowful memory, OBPI is a life-long struggle. Fights with insurance companies, doctors, schools, etc. Growth spurts that ...

Re: Insurance--its just not right
<t>I count myself lucky that we have an insurance that will pay anything for PT/OT, with only a $25 co-pay.<br/> <br/> - When my daughter was born we had an HMO, & after the first 90 days after the injury, they refused to pay for anything at all & we had to pay 100% out of pocket. At the tim...

Re: Child Study Team refusal to provide support services of OT/PT
<t>We just moved from Albuquerque NM & had a fabulous therapist at Explorablities (they specialize in children). From my experience in NM, there are not many people who acknowledge BP injuries, we couldn't even find a doctor who knew anything about it (even at the Children's Hospital) - we kept ...

Anyone in NC
My sister-in-law is expecting & lives near Durham, NC. I'm wondering if anyone is out there who is from that area. Or if anyone knows any web sites where I can check on the doctors she is using?

Re: post bpi c-sections?
<t>Dear Anon for now,<br/> <br/> I too delivered my 2nd child via planned c-section, 1 week prior to the due date & it was wonderful compared to the **ll that my first 'natural' delivery was. <br/> <br/> My girls are 20 months apart & after my initail stay at the hospital, I was doing everyt...

Re: Pregnancy Update
<t>I agree with the previous responses. I too had a c-section with my second little girl & it was soooooooo great. Not only is my little girl uninjured but I don't have the guilt I still & will always have with my first. The doctor 'thought' my first little girl was getting too big & dec...

Re: Arm Growth
<t>Thanks again,<br/> <br/> Our PT mentioned the Botox to us as a treatment for Jessica, she has a slight contracture, which her PT says she can stretch out, but Jessica can't do by herself. We are still trying to find a 'specialist' here & hope that maybe we can get some answers. <br/> <br/> PS...

Re: Arm Growth
Thank you all.
Does anyone know how much one of these machines cost if the insurance doesn't pay? I've tried to get on their site, but can't access it???
Also, does experimenting with Botox sound like a good idea especially with the lack of growth in the arm?

Arm Growth
<t>Hi everyone,<br/> <br/> Jessica turned four this past Sunday, and as joyous as this occasion was, I am troubled by the measurements taken of her arm by her PT on Friday. There seems to be at least a centimeter difference in the upper arms. <br/> What makes this so frustrating is that Jessica has ...
