Re: Told my daughter doesn't need to see BPI specialist until 4 months old?
<r>Someone just pointed out to me that most of you travel to see your BPI specialist. I hadn't realized this yet--duh moment here <E>:)</E> I just assumed you all happened to live close enough to them (don't we all wish?). <br/> <br/> Anyhow, this brings on another question, if you travel out-of-sta...

Re: Told my daughter doesn't need to see BPI specialist until 4 months old?
<r>Thanks for all your responses everyone. I think my husband and I will push to see a BPI specialist. Right now I'm trying to find one near us (we're in Oregon--about an hour and a half south of Portland). The only one I can find on the list that's close to us is Dr Kit Song. Unfortunately I can't ...

Re: Told my daughter doesn't need to see BPI specialist until 4 months old?
<t>Also, does anyone know of a BPI specialist in Oregon? I looked on the list of specialist here but there's no one for Oregon yet. Our OT recommended Dr. Mark Shih. Hasn't anyone ever seen him? <br/> <br/> Also, I couldn't remember the term before but it has finally come to me, the pediatrician and...

Told my daughter doesn't need to see BPI specialist until 4 months old?
<r>Okay, my daughter is now 8 weeks old and our OT and ped have FINALLY contacted each other (after trying for 5 weeks! getting a bit ridiculous there). And at our OT session yesterday our OT told us that after consulting each other the two felt that with the progress my daughter has made they don't...

Re: Taping arm--is there a trick to getting tape off?
<t>Thanks so much for all the suggestions! I might have to try each one out to see which will work best for us. Funny thing and yet not so funny thing is when I asked our OT if he knew of any tricks to make taking the tape of easier his reply was "take it off fast". I'm on the phone thinking that's ...

Anyone else in Oregon? Where to go who to see?
<t>Anyone else from the Oregon area? If so do you know a good doctor or place to go? I feel like I'm in limbo right now. My daughter is 2 months old and I'm not sure what else to do. Everyone just keeps telling me to wait and see... wait and see... Well I'm not seeing much at all--it's so discouragi...

Taping arm--is there a trick to getting tape off?
<t>Hi, our OT wants to tape my daughter's arm (she's 2 months old) and I'm wondering if there's a trick to getting the tape off. He hasn't done it yet--he wants to do it at tomorrows session. He initially put a very samll 2x2 patch on her back to see if there would be any irritation and I felt so ba...

Re: New here and have some ?
<t>Hmmm... so correct me if I'm wrong here but to get EI, I'd have to apply for it and see if my daughter is not responding at the normal level(not sure how else to phrase it)? And if she does qualify what will happen is they will let her see the OT for a very small fee (based on income) regardless ...

Re: New here and have some ?
<r>Thanks for clarifying that. I'm glad to know there might be assistance available. My husband and I haven't even thought of how much this will cost us financially yet. I guess right now we're just thinking of the baby and totally just focusing on her. HOpefully the bills won't ever get to where it...
