- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: 28 years old with a right obstetrical brachial plexus injury. 5 surgeries to date with pretty decent results. Last surgery resolved years of pain in my right arm however, I am beginning my journey with overuse in my left arm

ps, I chose the nickname hope16_05 when I was 14 years old because I needed hope at that time in my life. Had a bad experience with a doctor and didnt want to accept what she had told me. Must have worked, I am so much better than I was then!

Just a different perspective....
I am not driven by guilt or grief to "fix" my child's arm. The quest to do so is good, as opposed to harmful.
I decided when Matt was very young (a few months old) that I wasn't going to look at the injury negatively, but look at it as a normal and positive thing in my life.
