I AM HAVING SURGERY
Re: I AM HAVING SURGERY
That is strange! What goes around comes around they say....life repeats:)
Re: I AM HAVING SURGERY
Brian, I hope everything went well with your surgery. God bless you.
Re: I AM HAVING SURGERY
OK . . . So I was supposed to hear back from the office as if my insurance company is going to pick up the tab. It has been almost two weeks and I haven't heard anything. I have left messages with the nurse I have been talking to but haven't gotten a response yet. Should I be worried or what? I haven't bought my plant ticket yet because I am waiting to hear back about the insurance. What should I do besides worry.
Re: I AM HAVING SURGERY
Just keep calling...keep up with it. The guy doing it for me told me the usually get it...although some insurance companies make it super difficult (like mine!!) He told me mine was the worst he had ever had to work with....BUT we got it done with less than a week to go, but it got done. I am sure they will get your insurance to cover it:)

I would keep asking them. Sometimes they get busy. Mine seemed to take forever. It is very frustrating waiting that long to hear something. Just keep calling them and don't give up. It will work out for you. Good Luck and let us know.

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: LOBPI. I am 77 yrs old and never had a name for my injuries until 2004 when I found UBPN at age 66.
My injuries are: LOBPI on upper body and Cerebrael Palsy on the lower left extremities. The only intervention I've had is a tendon transplant from my left leg to my left foot to enable flexing t age 24 in 1962. Before that, my foot would freeze without notice on the side when wearing heels AND I always did wear them at work "to fit in" I also stuttered until around age 18-19...just outgrew it...no therapy for it. Also suffered from very very low self esteem; severe Depression and Anxiety attacks started at menopause. I stuffed emotions and over-compensated in every thing I did to "fit in" and be "invisible". My injuries were Never addressed or talked about until age 66. I am a late bloomer!!!!!
I welcome any and all questions about "My Journey".

Re: I AM HAVING SURGERY
I took a turn for the worse. I came down with whatever is going around on Fri. I finally broke the fever and am feeling a bit better. Now I have major congestion in my chest. I talked to Dr. Shenaq's office and they said to take a bunch of stuff and it should clear up by next week. I am scheduled to leave for Houston next Tues. If the evaluation goes ok on Weds. than it is a go for surgery on Thursday. I just hope it clears up. Go figure. Just as everything falls into place I get sick. Is bad luck also a side effect of bpi patients or just me? lol Anyway I will keep you all informed

Brian,
About 10 days before I left for Texas in February I got brochitus. Went to the dr & got shots & medicine...3 days went by didn't work. Went back to the dr & got more shots & told them to do whatever they had to so I'd be well. I really didn't think they were going to do the surgery, but they did.
TAKE CARE & GET WELL!!
