Re: Looking for the best Doctor/Clinic
You might like to know that Dr Waters and Dr Kozin are part of an international team of bpi specialists who are comparing results and methods in order to help find the best treatments, there are I think 26 specialists involved, this gives them a very large pool of results and experience between them.

Re: Looking for the best Doctor/Clinic
I think it's fair to say that all the top bpi doctors are involved in research for our kids future...not limited to those mentioned here. There are many docs all over the country and world who are actively involved in research and in all different types of databases, etc. Those doctors that are truly committed - and that's how they become a top doc - do way more than meets the eye when it comes to caring for our children.

Re: Looking for the best Doctor/Clinic
We also started at Mayo and were not very happy with the way we were treated. We took our daughter to Texas for her first surgery. We were very glad we did. We have had her over to St. Paul to dr. van heest and I think we may start going there. We are also from wisconsin and the trip to St. Paul for a long term relationship with a doctor is much more of a reality. Texas seems a little too interested in surgery and not as interested in the life-long follow-up. Where are you from in WI? we are in Rice Lake. Send an e-mail to me if you would like to share more information-sheathma@witc.edu.
thanks
