Our new cello!
Re: Our new cello!
Francine, I will be emailing you soon, thanks! Tom, you are hilarious! Thanks for the great ideas and encouragement. I had Lexi practice for ten minutes tonight, then gave her a five minute break and tried to get ten more minutes out of her. She only gave me five, but I just said, "Great job!" It was five minutes longer that last night!
I hope Lexi can meet some of you some day. We would really love to attend the next camp. You all are a great encouragement to us!
Thanks! Amy Clark

Amy - 10 minutes is a good practice session for a newbie and a young one.
We make due with 10 minutes quite often and it does the job.
HOWEVER..... 10 minutes can become triple worthwhile if she listens to the music CDs of the songs she is practicing
I read a story about a study done about that and it said that the kids who listened to the music did way better than kids who just practiced. So if she did 10 minutes of hands on and 10 minutes of listening to the music you're getting quite a bang for your buck! (that is why when you are doing suzuki lessons, you get the book and the CD of the music)
