transfer date at last!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: transfer date at last!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Jocelisse's parents,
I don't know much about my procedure to be honest. I still have to make a few enquiries to my specialists.
What I do know is that it lasts for about 1 hour and that it is relatively low risk. After it the forearm is going to stay in a plaster for about 6 weeks, and then I'm going to do PT to get those movements back again.
The wrist should get back to a straight position and I should be able to extend my fingers again. I'm not sure how much I'll be able to move my wrist.
That's really all I know. I still need to talk to one of the specialists for 5 minutes to get a clearer picture.
When I get more info I'll let you know. Sorry I haven't been any more helpful yet.
Good luck and speak to you soon. Ciao.
Athos

By the way, Karlos is having his surgery done in Leeds by Mr Kay, whilst I'm having mine done in London by Mr Carlstedt. Both are NHS orthopaedic spetialists.
