Re: SSI QUESTION
I am 32 now. I have lived with erbs palsy all my life, is it too late to get SSI???
Re: SSI QUESTION
From what I understand there is no time limit to apply for SSI. I would actually think it might be easier for an adult. We had to submit living expenses, income, and medical bills. Along with records and docs info. If you look in your phone book or on the computer, you can apply by phone or online.

Re: SSI QUESTION
Bigjavsma, if you've worked full time for over 5-6 years, you may qualify for ssd. ssi is if you're low income and have less than a certain amount in the bank. But ssd is something you pay into when you pay into your social security. Once a year, the ppl that work recieve a statement from social security stating how much we would get when we retire and also how much we would get if we were disabled.
From what I read here, the ppl that have the best results are the ones that have a lawyer. Search one out that specializes in ss and prepare for the fight.
