Re: Nancy - cold and morning and ?????

Yes, I can testify that Nancy is not a happy camper in the morning. I usually wake her up and then stay out of her way until she's had that first cup of coffee!

We have the opposite here...he is quiet...

Nancy your warm arm is so cool. Wow your arm warming up, that must be and unexpected surprise.

As for the face well I am older and when I had flashes my ear got red and the face hotter no sweat on that side. I know you are too young for that issues yet… but it was different with both sides of my face.

I never realized until I found UBPN that the reason I did not sweat on my face was due to obpi...
Amazing...
Now we have to working on your mornings...
So who makes the coffee you or Tim????
Ralph makes the coffee to make sure I stay out of his way he bring it to me in bed....LOL...he thinks I am fooled...he just wants to be alone in the morning...LOL... He has been doing this for 36 years.

Hey All,

Amen to the morning thing! I refuse to do anything before noon! When my husband and I started dating I made sure he was not a morning person. Because there is nothing worse than being a night owl when your partner is a morning person! Luckily, he does not have any problem with my sleeping pattern.

I do have a question.... what is Horner's? Your describing your face looking flushed and warm is something I have dealt with since my accident. I was always told "it is part of the injury". I have always used it as a gauge...when I have been too active the left side of my face becomes redder and warmer. The left side is also swollen...here again with more activity it gets worse. For the most part it is not noticeable unless you know there is a problem. I also have a ringing in my ear and occasional blurred vision on the affected side. Are there any web sites regarding Horner's?

Actually another question.... how does the e-stim work, is it like a TENS machine?

Okay I need to get busy.

Thanks for any info!

Re: Horner's Joy web page to start

I was not even aware that I had Horner's until I pointed out to my New Neurologist that my face was not aging the same on the right side. At first they never noticed. Also now my face is cold where it use to be very hot. Well now all new photos on the right side only....LOL..

My mothers aways told me one eye was a little smaller and that came from my Fathers side of the family...LOL... NOT!!! checked out old photos...
My lid she said would only droop when I was tired..we played games like how wide could I open my eyes and how long could I hold my eyes wide open...Now I understand why

Sorry joy I thought I had that page bookmarked but I did not... I just found a page for you

Katie has always done this..I am not certain that it is due to the injury but we have noticed that when she is in growth and recovery spurts her sleep gets really disturbed and she cries out in her sleep and bellows when she wakens. Sometimes (since birth so the docs "know" it is not night terrors-ha!) she is so out of it that she is not aware of us being in the room with her. We usually have to keep her a bit warmer to help control these situations some. So, like everyone else I agree, try toasting the BPI arm and see if that helps. Also, she should be going through seperation anxiety in the last few months so if it is something sorta new it may be that. Katie's is also horribly worse after surgeries. Yeah, what we have to look forward to after Tuesday.

Keep us posted
