woman to woman encouragement
I got this in an email this morning and thought I would share it with all of you...
Woman to Woman Encouragement
Someone will always be prettier. They will always be smarter. Their house will be bigger. They will drive a better car. Their children will do better in school. And their husband will fix more things around the house. So let it go, and love you and your circumstances. Think about it. The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in her heart. And the
most highly favored woman on your job may be unable to have children. And the richest woman you know, she's got the car, the house, the clothes....might be lonely. And the word says if I have not Love, I am
nothing. So, again, love you. Love who you are. Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say "I am too blessed to be stressed and too anointed to be disappointed!"! "Winners make things happen. Losers let things happen." Be Blessed ladies. "To the world you might be one person, but to one person you just
might be the world".
enjoy the day!

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: Hi! I am Laura, the mom of Tyler, who has a ROBPI. I've been a member of this site since 1998 and owe a great deal to the wonderful people in the UBPN community who have helped us along the way get what we needed to get done for Tyler. Tyler is now 14 years old and in the 9th grade. He's a super bright kid and loves his video games. Tyler had the mod quad surgery with Dr. Shenaq shortly before he passed. That was his first and only surgery. Now that he is older he is requesting additional surgery. He'd like to be able to supinate. Our goal is for Summer 2013.

This message is very uplifting considering I am having a sad Brachial Plexus day. Loved the message.

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.

Courtney, Thanks for the e mail, woman to woman. And thanks for calling me the other night. It really suprised me, sorry I sounded so stupid at first, but I couldnt hear you on the phone for Robbie and James havibg the TV up too loud, the washer, dryer, LOL! Good luck with you appt. with Dr. Nath. I hope between the 2 of you, you can figure out the best time for surgery, like we said before, insurance is a pain! Its alot like a MAN though, cant live with it cant live without it! Later....

Re: woman to woman encouragement
That was great. I just have to add sometimes having a husbands who fixes more things is not always a good thing.
My husband who I love, gets into too many things at once, and I am missing walls and floors and though I love him. Sometimes I wish for a man who can't work a hammer.
But I'd never trade him in.
