Boston hotels?
Hi, We are going to see Dr. Waters on Sept. 15. Does anyone have any recommendations on hotels? They all seem to be expensive. Any positive experiences? Thank you. - Dawn

We stayed at the Best Western At the Longwood medical.
It just a few minutes of walk, 3 blocks from the Children's Hospital. They also have a hospital rate for $135. The hotel also has an adjacent foot court downstairs with a few shops (CVS). It is very convenient. Here is their link:

You can call them directly to make reservation.
There might some summer special package. I do not know when that ends.
The Holiday Inn at Brookline also has a medical rate. The hotel has a shuttle bus (free) to the hospital.
Good luck!

We also stay at Best Western Inn and Longwood medical. They have a medical rate if you ask for it. We have stayed there a dozen of times with our Boston visits to Dr Waters and we were pleased every time. You can walk out the back'side door of the food court/Galleria and the hospital is across the street. SEriously, its a few seconds. It is well worth the price. Good luck.

Hello there,
Boston has a program called the hospitality program. People open up there homes to family's there in Boston for medical reasons. The cost can be up to $35 a day.
Most of them just want you to make a donation to the program. The phone number is 617-482-4338. We have had nothing but good experiences threw this program. The family's are great and very sympathetic.
