Rachel,
It looks like your son has received a miracle straight from heaven! I'm so happy for you!

Hi Rachael,
I'm new too. My son Garrett is almost 14 months now and also recovering well. He was 12lbs at birth (2 weeks early) and has a left arm obpi. He surprised me today by crawling up three stairs while I was getting laundry together! We haven't really thought about surgery yet, considering OT twice a week has been working so well for him. I was thrilled to find UBPN-who knew there were so many of us out there!
Glad to hear Richie is coming along so well too! Good Luck!

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.

Welcome Rachel & Carrie F
I am glad you found us. I thought I was the only one with OBPI until 5 years ago and I was a grandmother by that time... LOL... Glad you posted
