Re: North Texas BPI Gathering
Hi, all:
TBA is "to be announced."
Actually, I am going to be booking the venue in the next couple of weeks for the North Texas gathering because I wasn't allowed to book it too far in advance! As soon as it's finalized, either Cherie or I will definitely post it! (hi, Cherie!)
We're excited about meeting all of you guys! Everyone who wants to come and can come is surely welcome -- we're going to have a great time!
Janet

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.
- Location: New York

We have a medical resource directory on the website and most folks do travel to other states... It is almost impossible for OBPI adults to find doctors who are informed about obpi and its effects on us ... and worst of all interested in our injury ... most seem to feel we have adjusted well ... they seem to forget we would all like more function.
A few of the pediatric specialists are seeing OBPI/adult patients because they are the ones who can truly evaluate our problems... I had a bpi MRI Dr. Abbott (in NY) examined me and set it up so that I received a proper MRI just for the brachial plexus... I also met with Dr. Nath from Texas he sees many adult/obpi ... check the resource directory.
my e-mail is not on this sign in... you can contact me at KathM@ubpn.org
