The test
What is the name of the test many of you have done to find out what nerves are not working in your arm? I think it is EMS or ETS. I'm not really sure. I would like to schedule the test for myself, but I can't remmber its name.
Thanks

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.

Re: The test
Hi Heather
I have had 3 emg's and 2 MRI's... The emg is the test that will tell you what nerver's are functioning.
It is a very uncomfortable test but as far as I was concerned it cleared up some blank spots for me. I wanted to know what was injured and the exact nature of my injury. I think we have a right to know. I was tired of not fully understanding what functioned and what did/could not function.

Re: The test
They usually also do a nerve conduction test at the same time as the EMG so you should have both of these tests done.
