We recently moves to Zachary, Louisiana from Newport News, VA. Javier flew with my father because I thought an 8 hour flight would be much easier on him than a 20+ hour moving truck or car ride. If you have a BPI, what do you think? And why?
Thanks so much!

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: LOBPI. I am 77 yrs old and never had a name for my injuries until 2004 when I found UBPN at age 66.
My injuries are: LOBPI on upper body and Cerebrael Palsy on the lower left extremities. The only intervention I've had is a tendon transplant from my left leg to my left foot to enable flexing t age 24 in 1962. Before that, my foot would freeze without notice on the side when wearing heels AND I always did wear them at work "to fit in" I also stuttered until around age 18-19...just outgrew it...no therapy for it. Also suffered from very very low self esteem; severe Depression and Anxiety attacks started at menopause. I stuffed emotions and over-compensated in every thing I did to "fit in" and be "invisible". My injuries were Never addressed or talked about until age 66. I am a late bloomer!!!!!
I welcome any and all questions about "My Journey".

Good to "hear" from you,Marlyn!!
HUGGS to you and Javier. Enjoy the South.
My opinion is whatever Javier preferred. I cannot stress enuff to please give your children have choices and allow them to participate in dialogues like this one but especially with all Doctor appointments' dialogues.

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: Non traumatic brachial plexus neuropathy, still in diagnosis stages
Re: Your opinion
Marlyn,
I have lived in Zachary and would love to hear who you are seeing for your son's BPI problems. My 11 yo daughter is still in the diagnosis stage as we're really not sure what is wrong with her but she does have some sort of problem with her brachial plexus causing scapular winging. Next month we are going to the Peripheral Nerve Clinic at Texas Children's and are hoping to get some answers. This has been going on for 2 1/2 months and no one in Baton Rouge can figure out what is going on, we've seen so many wonderful doctors but would love some answers. I loook forward to hearing from you.
