some pain releif at last!
Re: some pain releif at last!
I've been taking Bextra for 12 days now as a supplement to the methadone.
I'm not yet sure it is helping, but the spasms I was still having with the meth appear to have faded a bit.
The doc said it would take 3-4 weeks before I would know for sure.
I have no side effects whatsoever.
I'll let you know what happens.

Gayle,
I asked my doc about Bextra and he put me on Rofecoxib tablets called VIOXX. Theyre 12.5 mg tablets and I guess thats the Australian version of Bextra.
I started taking a couple of them a day but they didnt seem to do anything for me, aside from rashing up my leg... But hey, it could be worth a try.

Gayle,
I've been taking Aleve for about a year now, along with Neurontin. If I don't take the Aleve I really feel it. The other day someone posted the website "crazymeds.org" It talks about several types of meds including neurontin. It says that Aleve increases the pain relief capacity of Neurontin roughly 15 percent, something like that. Anyway check it out. The draw back to Aleve is it is hard on your stomach. Hope this helps...Karl...

Amitriptyline is an antidepressant drug. Depression is an all-pervasive sense of sadness and gloom. It is believed that in some patients with depression, abnormal levels of neurotransmitters (chemicals that nerves use to communicate with each other) may relate to their depression. Amitriptyline elevates mood by raising the level of neurotransmitters in nerves of the brain.
