Re: TBPI and Breast Reduction
Good luck!!! I hope everything turns out 200%
It's nice and humid and slightly tornado prone here in rochester but that's part of the fun of surgery in minnesota (I had a major blizzard during my knee surgery and my surgeon got stuck in his driveway )
As to bras, they haven't given me any problems. I just fasten the band at my waist, turn it around, and put my arms through the straps and pull it up. To keep the straps from slipping off my short shouder, I use the strap perfect. (Who knew infomercials would turn out something useful ) It may seem tricky, but I can get the strap perfect on with one hand in under 5 seconds.

Re: TBPI and Breast Reduction
I was going to have breast reduction almost a year ago. They put me to sleep and woke me right back up again. When the car accident happened, not only did I receive a RBPI, but my lungs were crushed and my phrenic nerve was paralyzed so I'm on oxygen 24/7. Because of all these things, my CO 2 level is extremely high. We didn't know until the Anethesist put me to sleep. He woke me right back up and refused to do the surgery. I was so upset that I couldn't have the surgery!
My plastic surgeon told me he could fix it so I wouldn't ever need a bra again. I can't put a bra on without help. I have tried every kind of bra anyone has suggested. I am using a Bi-PAP machine in hope that it will blow the CO 2 out of my lungs.
I pray you will have a very successful proceedure! I envy you.

Re: TBPI and Breast Reduction
Funny reason bras are not a problem for me to hook. The other day my PT told me that he is extremely impressed with my range of motion in my none effected arm. It never occurred to me that the reason I could strap my bra behind my back was do to being more flexible than most. I never thought of my self has a flexible person but I always thought of my lower body when I thought of flexibility. I have no problem putting my bra on and reaching behind my back with my left arm grabbing the right side of the strap with my first finger and the left side with my thumb and hooking it. None of my friends have been able to do it, but I just realized most people can't scratch their side with their opposite arm, with it behind their back. Another bonus to have been a swimmer, I guess. Funny how our past sets us up to be able to handle the future. Here's to your past making your future a little easier and loving life!
