Elbow contracture/growth plate

Does anyone know of the possibility of a contracture causing the growth plate of the forearm to fuse together so that one of the forearm bone stops growing?? I know this may not make sense, but....my son's contracture in the elbow appears to be getting worse and the last x-ray appears to show something funny on the growth plate. We are not due to be seen by a doctor until May. The doctor did not say anything at the last visit, I am just wondering this has happened to anyones' child.
