Hi Rich,

Can you give me more information about the 504/IEP presentation - is he going to be speaking about it for new parents - telling them what they have to do to get started or will he be helping parents problem solve. There are a couple of families I know who are currently having issues so I'm wondering if this would be a time where they can ask about specific problems?

Is Dr. Kozin going to be seeing the kids privately? or is this just a lecture? No Dr. Waters on the list?
And lastly, who's the sponsor?

thanks,
-francine

ps fyi both of your ubpn email addresses still bounce for me

Hi Francine,

I don't know the content of the IEP/504 lecture, we probably could have some input on the substance, bu the is an experience lawyer for this subject. Is there something specific that these families would like to see?

Dr. Kozin will be speaking as a lecturer, I really don't want to try and schedule mini clinics at all.

I actually never asked Waters, he presented at the last Mass. gathering--but maybe I will still touch base with him.

I just don't get the bouncing emails....very odd...but you can use my rlooby@gmail.com

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: LOBPI. I am 77 yrs old and never had a name for my injuries until 2004 when I found UBPN at age 66.

My injuries are: LOBPI on upper body and Cerebrael Palsy on the lower left extremities. The only intervention I've had is a tendon transplant from my left leg to my left foot to enable flexing t age 24 in 1962. Before that, my foot would freeze without notice on the side when wearing heels AND I always did wear them at work "to fit in" I also stuttered until around age 18-19...just outgrew it...no therapy for it. Also suffered from very very low self esteem; severe Depression and Anxiety attacks started at menopause. I stuffed emotions and over-compensated in every thing I did to "fit in" and be "invisible". My injuries were Never addressed or talked about until age 66. I am a late bloomer!!!!!

I welcome any and all questions about "My Journey".
