Texas childrens is having a BPI "awareness" Confernce 24-26 Jan. It is for family members as well as therapist. Some of the staff will be speaking as well as social workers to help prepare us parents for the long road ahead.

Natalie - to answer your qeustion about hotels...the 'cheap' hotels are in VERY bad sections of town and you wil pay the difference in cab fair to and from the hospital... best to go with one of the hotels in that area and maybe if you know of another family going you can do a Residence Inn thing together? to share expenses? just a thought... or get a two bedroom suite at the holiday inn and share that? (don't know if that's cheaper but it might be)

Francine- Thanks for the hotel info, I will have to look up where we stayed during her surgery. I am going to look into the free airfare thing- thanks for that, too! We see Nath on Monday. Is the weekend just for therapists only? Friday is just for the parents?

Saturday with TASC is for parents and therapists
Sunday with TASC is for parents and therapists

it's two separate programs on the same weekend -overlapping... two separate registrations...
the TASC program is supposed to be really good.

I'm going to try to come to that if it's possible in any way shape or form. Maia's due for a REAL exam, too. We've been doing videos for the last year.
