in need of advice...
Hi Everyone!
I haven't posted in a really long time, but I am now feeling the need for some of the great wisdom and advice that I have found here before...it's in regards to our law suit. I was just wondering if anyone would want to email me some of their experiences with the process of things...
we have filed our statement of claim and now have received the statement of defense...which of course was very disheartening. I'm really curious how may cases actually go to trial...and what it's like if it does go to trial.
anyway I know it can be a sensitive subject so you don't have to post here if you don't want..feel free to email me at vmichael_lees@hotmail.com...
thanks so much

I expect that the Canadian judicial system is different than the states? Also I would not be disheartened with the defense letter. That is their job-to defend and you are going to have to roll with their punches and stay strong. Good luck.

- Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: LOBPI. I am 77 yrs old and never had a name for my injuries until 2004 when I found UBPN at age 66.
My injuries are: LOBPI on upper body and Cerebrael Palsy on the lower left extremities. The only intervention I've had is a tendon transplant from my left leg to my left foot to enable flexing t age 24 in 1962. Before that, my foot would freeze without notice on the side when wearing heels AND I always did wear them at work "to fit in" I also stuttered until around age 18-19...just outgrew it...no therapy for it. Also suffered from very very low self esteem; severe Depression and Anxiety attacks started at menopause. I stuffed emotions and over-compensated in every thing I did to "fit in" and be "invisible". My injuries were Never addressed or talked about until age 66. I am a late bloomer!!!!!
I welcome any and all questions about "My Journey".
There is NO SUCH THING AS A DUMB QUESTION.

Thank you Carolyn for your encouragement!! no matter what the defense lawyers job is, it's always hard to hear them bold face lie about the events leading up to, during and after your child's injury. I'll roll with the punches for sure...just like I have for the last three years...but I come here for support and understanding...I place where you can voice your fears...
I would appreciate any info any of you could offer me!
thanks so much,
Dawn
