Re: Check out the awareness board
We are having a gathering at a local park for a potluck. We will also be having a band, The Windjammers, play for us and Joel and Emma are in that band. I thought it would be good for other BPIs and other BPI parents to see that Emma can play the sax even with her injury!
The band is good and fun, too!
I think I'm going to mark up some white T-shirts with sharpies and have Joel and Emma wear them to school one day during Awareness Week, also. Maybe write something like "Ask Me What A BPI is" so they can explain. Joel will have no problem with this, but Emma is getting a bit shy about her limitations.
I've also created a page on with the link that Kim W provided to ask for donations and I will resend the request during Awareness Week.
I still have lots of Awareness stuff to pass out, so I'll be doing that as well.
I'm open to more suggestions
Peggy
