maybe this is useful?
I have a client who has a series of issues with nerve damage - serious neuropathy, etc.
They started her on this drug call Topamax. She says that she is getting better results with this than she got with Neurontin (both are seizure meds).
Also - she gets Lidocaine patches that she applies to the areas where she is pained and sleeps with them on. She swears by them. She said they are called Lidoderm or something like that.
just passing this on...don't know if it'll be useful to any of you, but it doesn't hurt to ask....

Francine,
I have just started using the lidoderm patches. They do take the pain away in my shoulder. I would definitely recommend these. You can cut them to the size you need . I had tried neurontin and did not think that it worked well for me. I like the lidoderm because it is topical.and you can pin point the exact spot that you are hurting.
