New Section To My Site !!
New Section To My Site !!
Remember how I have been inviting other families to put up a web page that is attached to Maia's site so that we get experiences at 'other' hospitals documented so that support can be more rounded??
Well Mary - thank you Mary - has stepped up to the plate and her daughter Sarah's story in now on my site with pictures.
Mary will keep on adding to it when possible...
For now, for anyone interested, you can see pictures of Sarah in her SPICA CAST. And I heard from Christy and she said that this is very much like the splint made for the capsulodesis (including the metal support used for bigger children).
This page didn't take very long at all to do, BUT it will be very helpful for other parents who come on here and want to see things about Boston...
actually, Mary - can I add your email to the page so that people can contact you directly if they have questions?
so take a look and for those of you who take your children to some of the 'other' places....how about it?
the direct link is:
www.injurednewborn.com/sarah/sarah.html
but it's listed off the home page also:
www.injurednewborn.com/maia/homepage.html
Thanks again Mary!!
And Sarah, you are such a brave little girl. We are all so proud of you!!
big hugs,
francine

Re: New Section To My Site !!
Francine,
Please feel free to add both my e-mail addresses. I don't seem to get on at home very often so work seems to be an easier way to reach me. Thank you for all your kind words and thoughts. I certainly couldn't have done it without your help.
Big hugs to you too!!

Re: New Section To My Site !!
Francine & Mary
I just saw the web page really nice...
What I can't get over is that I wore the same position cast for 11 months as a baby - the only difference was that my palm was positioned to face my ear.....
Mine was made of cloth leather with straps and metal bar to support the arm....
First time I have seen this cast....
Mine was called the Traffic Cop position...LOL...

Re: New Section To My Site !!
The site looks great!!! What a trooper Sarah is, up the very next day!!! Ashley chose the hot pink cast.
She had a bear that had a cast too. It was nice to see your pictures of the hospital, we've been there sooo many times & have never thought once to take pictures of the hospital. I can't wait to hear how her cast removal goes!! Sarahs site looks awesome!!!
