tendon lengthening update...
Hi everyone...
I know it's been a long time since I've posted, but just wanted to fill you in. I had a bicep tendon lengthening the end of August 2006 with Dr. Nath. I am getting much stronger and my arm is much straighter than it used to be. I had a 30 degree contracture, and now it hovers around 15 degrees.
I must admit, training my tricep how to actually work for the first time is harder than I thought it would be. I can fire it, but that muscle is so weak, my bicep still wants to take over for everything. That basically means - raising my arm above my head, etc. is still a challenge. But, my PT is great and is always coming up with new ways for me to use my tricep- even if it's just a tiny movement.. talk about baby steps
All right, that's it for now, but I just wanted to let everyone know I'm still alive and well..

I'm so glad your doing well, Its funny not having bpi you don't realize how hard the simplest movements are and all the muscles that.are involved. Frankie is still trying to get his brain to connect with his muscles and it is so hard and the gains are so some like you said baby steps. Mare
