hi i am chris 29 from calif. i have bi lateral erbs and both my elbows are bent.my left shoulder is useless but i can turn my hand over and my elbow works but is weak and the same for the hand. my right shoulder works but is almost ruined from trying to play highschool sports and i can't turn my palm up on my right i use a good eletric can opener, and gel cooshins[bad spelling sorry]for my key board and mouse i always end up standing with my arms crossed feeling like i am holding myself together. i use the prop thing to get to my face and head for only i pretty much have to prop either arm depending neither really going over my head. although i am pretty fit and still strong enuf to go off a rope swing into the creek as long as my hands stay strong enuf and my shoulders will take the weight[probably not long though]. well now you can't say i never post.

a lurker i guess
chris

p.s. thx to all you guys who do post i find myself getting very emotional sometimes relating to all your posts thank you

Regarding numbing of the Erbs Hand. My son at age 8 had numbing and tingling of his Erbs Hand and arm. He had a carpal tunnel release and a median nerve release done at the time by Dr. Nath. I was so shocked that he had this so young. That was 4 years ago and he has not had any problems since. Dr. Nath said his median nerve was as tight as a stretched rubber band.

Hey Sharon...I just wanted to say that I'm not far from you....I'm in Toledo, OH :) I used to live in Adrian, MI. I guess I always think of this condition as rare....never realized someone an hour away is just the same as me!!!!

That's a great idea, Pat! It'd be my "first time" meeting anyone with a BPI! Feel free to e-mail me anytime :)

Count me in on the northern Ohio meeting. I'm about an hour south of Cleveland.
