Is Dr. Shenaq also performing the Acromio surgery?

Post by Sally »

I was just wondering.... My son is scheduled for the acromio 4/13 and I was startled to find out that there is another BPI family that lives w/in walking distance of me and their child is scheduled for MQ on the same day.

We have never actually met (we've only talked on the phone twice now) and we may well meet for the first time in TX!

Not that that has anything to do the w/surgeons...but it made me wonder who would most likely do which surgery.

Thanks :-)

I know they both do the surgery. However, I am not sure which Doctor you are more likely to have. For my son's recent acromioplasty, Dr. Nath performed the surgery.

Sally, some times they have two surgeries the same day. I think it depends on the time of each surgery.

Sally,
I know that Dr. Shenaq does surgeries on every other Monday and Dr. Nath does them on Tues. and Weds. Both of them do the acromioplasty. We will see you in Texas on the 14th of April. Looking forward to meeting the new family also. Take care.

Both surgeons are absolutely qualified to do both surgeries! And they do more than one in a day. There are seveal scheduled in a row...and they have the team and interns to help them. Don't worry, no matter if Dr. Shenaq is doing both, your child will get all the care from Dr. Shenaq that he needs.

Has anyone on these boards had the acroniomplasty (sp?) done by Dr. Shenaq? I have only met or heard of parents who had it done by Dr. Nath.

It makes sense that both surgeons are performing it, but just wondering anyone here have the surgery done by Shenaq?

My son is scheduled for acromioplasty on Mar. 30 which is a Tues. When I spoke with Lisa T. she told me she thought Dr. Shenaq was scheduled to do Nicholas' acromio. that day. They are both excellent. We have had a surgery by both Dr. Nath and Shenaq so far. Stacey

We had Dr. Shenaq do our first surgery in Houston. He was wonderful! He really took to my daughter. Dr. NAth and Dr. Shenaq are great surgeons. Whomever you get, don't worry. You are in the best of hands!

Hi, My daughter had the MQ last June she was scheduled to have Dr. Nath do the surgery. That day we found out that Dr Shenaq was doing it we were a little upset cause we came from NYC thinking we were getting one doctor (Dr. Nath who we met and examined her) to find out diffrently. As it turned out Dr. Shenaq was great and we are so happy that we decided to do this. Good luck you are in the right place!!

Thank you for your responses.

I also emailed Angel and just heard back that Dr. Nath is scheduled to do my son's surgery.

I wasn't worried about which surgeon would be performing the surgery (not sure that I made that clear in my original post). Dr. Shenaq did Michael's Mod Quad and we were/still are very happy with the results.

I was more curious than "worried".

Thanks again.

See you on the 14th, Karrie!! I look forward to seeing you again!
