Injury as an excuse
Has anyone's child used their arm to try and get out of doing unpleasant things? Lately Alannah says her arms hurts when she is asked to do something she does not particularly want to do, such as pick up her room! CMB

ohmy- yes Miss Papaya over here does that a LOT. Granted she has been in pain for the last few months so I let her get out of a lot of things...but she insists the pain has resolved but then uses it as an excuse for practicing instruments more than 5 minutes at a time. Kids will grab anything they can get away with! Gotta love em.

Oh, Yes, I love it when he gets in from riding his bike or playing baseball with his friends....oh, but mom my arms hurts, I always say" wow that is amazing that it didn't hurt while you were riding your bike" He just gives me that "LOOK" and gets on to what I asked him to do. They will try anything once.....GAYLE
