Re: locking elbow
<t>Hi Mare.
I was just reading what you posted.
I totally understand how your son feels.
I'm 13 years old, going on 14.
I had the same procedures done too.
I've had serial casting many times and the mod quad surgery. I wear a splint to bed every night to help straighten...

Amazing Story!
Just wanted to share my story with everybody. I truly believe everything happens for a reason. Two weeks ago I saw a doctor in Cranberry. He was not a BPI specialist, but he performed elbow surgeries. My mom just wanted to see what he thought about my arm. My mom asked what he thought about botox. B...

Re: Can BPI get worse?
Sorry for the delayed response. Anyway, my right elbow is more "boney" if that makes sense. It's a bit larger than my left and it does not go to the same kind of point as my left. I actually just went to the doctor and they did xrays. He said that it is a little different than my left. He ...

Re: LOBPI... Winged scapula advice? Experience? Surgery?
When I was three years old I had the mod quod done specifically for severe winging. My mom said it greatly improved after the surgery. However, some doctors are not too fond of it anymore. I'm 15 now and have back pain sometimes. I go to therapy and get my back aligned 1-2 times a week. You cold pos...

Re: Vaccines
I've heard that quite a few times. I believe it's because the bad arm can have poor circulation, and you don't want to mess with that. That's all i know though

Re: any others ever had this problem???
I used that stuff before.... Not good. Luckily I just used it on my legs. All it is is chemicals I don't recommend it to anybody. Try using an electric razor. You don't need soap or anything. It really works for me

Re: Tendon Transfer Results?
Hello, I'm sorry I cannot help you with the tendon transfer surgery. However, at 3 years old I had the mod quad surgery done at Children's Hospital in Texas. My parents made the best decision they could based on the information they had at the time. I've seen a few doctors that are not too fond of t...

Re: Can BPI get worse?
Thanks! I'll have to look into it.
Does anybody have a different elbow in their BPI side? Mine is much different. My mom is scared that it could be forming a bone block, or something of that nature

Can BPI get worse?
I'm 15 years old. The last month or so my arm has seemed to be very tight/stiff. I wear a Dyna Splint at night to straighten my elbow. However, it does not seem to be working! My arm feels as though it's "turning inward". Can't think of any other terminology. I am not as active as I was a ...
