<t>My son was 18 when he had his accident. He was approved for SSI. He never worked so it is not SSI based on work history or our income but a Supplemental. I guess we are lucky in that area because it also makes him eligible for medical. We have medical insurance but now it is a secondary insurance...

I am the Parent, my 18 year old son was injured in a head on dirt bike accident with his best friend (best friend didn't make it) on July 3, 2008. I read weekly just to share information with him.

Dr. Curtain at Stanford Medical Center. TBPI on July 3, 2008, my son has had two surgeries thus far.

I think it is great to keep all your options open. If possible try to get copies of all the results of testing, it has been helpful to take these with me to our appointments.
