Re: Dr Nath, Florida
Where in Florida did Dr. Nath go? My daughters surgeon moved to Florida a few years ago. Looks like he is in Miami Beach. So if someone is planning on traveling to Florida to see Dr. Nath they may be able to get a 2nd opinion from Dr. Kadiyala. He did an excellent job with my daughter. He is a very ...

Re: bicep and wrist after primary
<t>Mica,<br/> I am always hesitant to post my daughters recovery (the last time I felt as if others doubt what I was saying) but after reading the responses that you have received I feel I have to share my daughters recovery. My daughter had primary at approx. 6 months. She had wrist and finger move...

Re: Only Primary Surgery??
Exactly right Carolyn! They are all different.
Rich to answer your question - after surgery, the surgeons said they found a stretch to C5 & C6. They removed the damaged part of the nerves and grafted nerves from the back of both legs.

Re: Only Primary Surgery??
<t>My daughter had only a nerve graft done at 5 1/2 months.<br/> She had a stretch injury to C5 & C6. Her PT released her from needing PT at 1 1/2 years old. At around the same time we no longer had to go back for follow ups with her surgeons. She is now 5 1/2 years old and has complete use of h...

Re: Late Walkers
Cheyenne did't crawl (army crawl) until she was 10 months old and crawled on all fours at 12 months. She walked at 15 months.
My son (no injury, just lazy) didn't walk until he was 17 months old.
All kids are different and will do things when they want to.

Re: A surgery question
<t>Our daughter had stretches to C5 and C6. They took nerves from both legs and grafted in the neck. We have wondered if she may have recovered on her own if given more time but I will say again that I would not have done anything differently. We didn't want to wait and pass the timeframe for primar...

Re: A surgery question
<t>My daughter had this done when she was about 6 months old (she is now 5 1/2 yrs.) in Iowa. I believe it is called Primary surgery by TCH. Surgery took several hours. Afterwards she had no problems with pain. She was wrapped on a board with her injuried arm lying across her stomach for 3 weeks - I...
