Child Magazine
Just an update - the editor of Child magazine responded to my email and would like to print my reply to her (basically thanking her for mentioning BPI and TCH)and I have asked her to consider researching more about BPI. It's a start!

Re: Justin gets the splint off 3/18/02
<t>Christine,<br/> Our daughter Caroline, 6 1/2, just took her split off 3/8/02 (she has been in the dynamic splint - pronator teres surgery and caps surgery) and we went to the pool at the college I work in and had the whole weekend before going back to school! She was so excited to see she could s...

Re: Long Island Picnic ??
I have been speaking to Lisa Thompson and they haven't decided if they are coming yet - waiting on a few things to iron out and then they will pick a date. It most likely will not be in Long Island if they come, but closer to NYC.

<t>Alice,<br/> It's me Kathy - I will email you what I have found out for our county in NY (since we are close by to each other). Josh will be in Kindergarten next year right? Parent Advocates are assigned to families to help protect your childs rights (or to explain things to you) some are great an...

Re: 8 weeks down!
<t>Joann,<br/> Good for Joey and the rest of your family. We have 3 weeks down and 5 to go. Caroline is adjusting well. Did Joey wear the Dynamic Splint too or the regular one? I know from the last three surgeries her arm went down within the first few hours that we took the splint off - did Joey's ...

Re: School IEP
<t>Depending on how old your child is, they have different material you can ask for. For IEP for K - and up, our daugthers school district has a parents guide of rights. The hard thing we are dealing with is the 503 issue and is it a medical or educational issue. Everytime we have a formal meeting a...
