Re: Violin players?

Hi! My Lexi plays the cello. She has a severe OBPI in her right arm - cannot lift her arm at the shoulder at all. I play violin and she desperately wanted to, so we compromised with the cello. To be sure, there are major modifications with the way she holds the instrument, her bowing technique, even...

Re: not significant enough

These cases are very hard to try in court. Our daughter had a very strong case. Just months before the trial date, another strong case in our area lost. We decided to settle. The legal process is grueling, but worth it if you actually have a case. Some lawyers are just not willing to risk it. We saw...

Re: How do you feel pain ?

I personally would have her checked out. My daughter feels no pain in her arm - unless it is cold, oddly enough. She has torn entire fingernails off - blood everywhere - and can't feel a thing. Never complained about any of her surgeries, either. If she feels new pain, I would say it is a reason to ...

Re: C-section on Tuesday

Yay! Was praying that all went well. Now you need to get as much help and rest as you can to recover from your surgery. Trust me - you do not want to do more than you should following a c-section. You will only set yourself back. Forget housework and any unneccesary obligations and focus on your two...

Re: C-section on Tuesday

I, too, had two c-sections following the birth of my daughter, who has a BPI. Both were healthy deliveries. I had severe anxiety right up to the last minute. Fortunately, my new OB was very understanding and helpful. She stayed with me the whole time leading up to the delivery and let me know that I...

Re: Welcome new members. Sorry you're here

Very nice post. If we do have to deal with these injuries, and we do, we may as well be together. You are all in my thoughts and prayers for a happy holiday season.

With much love, Amy Clark

Re: Our new cello!

Francine, I will be emailing you soon, thanks! Tom, you are hilarious! Thanks for the great ideas and encouragement. I had Lexi practice for ten minutes tonight, then gave her a five minute break and tried to get ten more minutes out of her. She only gave me five, but I just said, "Great job!&q...

Re: Our new cello!

Thanks guys - I like the idea of a moving arm rest - maybe a roller skate? LOL I'll have to try something like it. I guess I'll have to be more understanding. Maybe she'll have one on me, maybe not. I'd rather be safe than sorry!

Thanks again,
Amy Clark
