Re: Any advice to combat TPBI pain

<r>Just an update on my second DREZ (Dorsal Root Entry Zone) Lesion operation I had in December 2008. The operation was not successful and my neurosurgeon attempted a third DREZ lower down the spine cord which was also unsuccessful. Although I expected a very low success rate I was still very disapp...

Re: Any advice to combat TPBI pain

<t>Hi Janelle thank you for you’re explanation about the Motor Cortex Stimulation. I find it interesting. It might be an avenue to follow should my DREZ lesion not be successful. I have my arm in an immobilizer sling made out of plastic which I have specially made by an orthotist so my arm is not ha...

Re: TBPI Injury is a recoverable or not?

<t>I had my accident in 1983. I had 2 nerve grafts without success. Lived with the pain for 9 years before I had a DREZ (dorsal root entry zone) lesion. The pain was gone for 15 years. DREZ (dorsal root entry zone) lesion

<t>I was told by my doctor that after consulting with other specialist in the field that a spinal cord stimulator will not work for me. I have now seen a neurosurgeon who will perform a second DREZ on 15th December 2008. Having a second DREZ done is rare and I hope for a positive outcome. The doctor...

Re: Any advice to combat TPBI pain

Thenks Marieke for the advise. Have used Neurontin (gabapentine)

Lyrica (pregabalin) and have a TENS but none works. The side effects of Neurontin and Lyrica are bad and made me sick.

Kind Regards
