Re: WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS?

Armstrong, Your accident and injuries sound similar to mine. For me the deltoid never came back. My doc felt a slight flicker in my bicep after about two months. After about 6 I could use the elbow fairly well. After about a year, I had pretty good use. You learn to cope and deal. Chopping it off is...

Re: RESEARCH STUDY?

Re: Dealing with Chronic Pain

Didn't have avulsions, but I take Lyrica 600mg at night for the nerves. Pain comes and goes during the day. I mostly just deal. I agree with the exercise helping. I can't do much with the upper body anymore but a little so I've gotten back into jogging and lifting weights with the legs in the gym. I...

Re: golfing with BPI

My injured arm is my left and I am right handed and play with right handed clubs. I dont try to kill the ball now and have lost some distance but I think I'm better than I was pre injury. Thats not saying alot. But I bet I've taken off 4 or 5 strokes.

Re: Unfortunately, new to this site:0(

Agreed on both the exercises and seeking out a BPI specialist. The Lyrica however did help me but I didn't start taking it til 2yrs after. The first 6-10 months were awful as far as nerve pain goes but it subsides.

Seatbelts - A pain in the .....

Ok, question? What does everyone do with their seatbelt when they drive? I tuck the shoulder belt under my armpit. It really bothers me over the shoulder both mentally and physically. Plus if I had a serious frontal colision with it normal, my arm would probably be 100 paralyzed. So I got pulled ove...

Also consider that we can get on the live chat Weds nights with Mel, Jen and whomever else and talk in real time. Or 2 or 3 of us can get on there whenever and just talk about whatever as opposed to us leaving messages and waiting two or three days for a reply.
