HELP! his is really bugging me, but I don't think it's anything wrong...
<t>My son had the capsulodesis performed the day before Thanksgiving. Concerning the incision on the front of his shoulder, which has healed wonderfully, he has this little piece of string sticking out of the top of his incision. I am assuming this is part of his stitches that just didn't disolve aw...

Re: 9 year old with Erb's Palsy
<t>Welcome to the board. If you are interested in a pen pal for your daughter on the first page of this website there is a section called "Pen Pal Program". My son Logan is 5 and he is 1 month post-op today. He had his second surgery the day before Thanksgiving. When he is older and can actually com...

Answers to my son Logan's post-care from op 3 wks ago vs other children's
<t>It was pointed out to me earlier in a few different ways that I should contact TCH regarding my son's post-op care from his recent capsulodesis surgery 3 weeks ago. We were instructed to do ROM daily and that we were allowed to remove his brace daily for baths. It was brought to my attention by 2...

Re: Almost 3 weeks post op from capsulodesis for my son Logan...
<t>The instructions I was given were that until the steri-strips fell off he was to only have a sponge bath and we were able to take the brace off. Then after the steri-strips fell off we were instructed that he could take a bath, but we had to support the arm at all times which we are doing.<br/> <...

Re: trama from surgery
<t>From my personal experience with my child, my son has never had any problems mentally resulting from his physical condition or either of his surgeries. In fact I would have to say that my son has handled this better than any adult I know ever would. There have been no side effects, no trauma, no ...

Re: We are back!!
<t>Hi Fran!<br/> <br/> Sounds like Maia's brace is slightly different than Logan's, as well as the 1st 8 weeks.<br/> <br/> FIRST - Logan does not have the 'bar' that you described. His is like the SOL splint, except at a different angle.<br/> <br/> SECOND - We received instructions to take the brace...

Almost 3 weeks post op from capsulodesis for my son Logan...
<t>My son Logan (5 1/2) had the capsulodesis 3 weeks ago tomorrow. Prior to the surgery, as the one before, I was ever so worried about how he would handle this.<br/> <br/> Well, once again I was pleasantly proven wrong. Even though he is in a brace that looks very awkward (straight out at a 90 degr...

IMPORTANT INFO FOR ANYONE WANTING TO STAY AT THE MARRIOTT!!!!!!
<t>We stayed at the Marriott at the medical center in Houston over Thanksgiving when my son had his surgery. We stayed for 3 nights (Nov 20, 21, and 22) for $79 per night plus applicable taxes. If no one has already seen Francine's response to my post from yesterday, she said that the Marriott will ...

FRANCINE - IT WAS ME WHO POSTED ABOUT THE RATES FOR MARRIOTT AT $79...
We stayed the nights of November 20, 21, and 22. I do not know who I spoke with but I told him I needed Brachial Plexus rates if they had them rather than the regular medical rate. It was $79 plus the applicable taxes. They can't say that they didn't do it!!!
