Re: Redoing triangle tilt

Michael is doing great. He recommended possibly two more surgeries. Mentally I think Michael is done with them. He gained some from the triangle tilt, but I think he lost a little too. How is Peyton doing? I hope your holidays were nice.

Re: Anyone feel jipped?

<t>Sometimes you feel like you do everything right and why do bad things happen to me. I feel blessed, we have 4 children. My 2nd child was born with a LOBPI. My first and second child were only 11 months apart. I thought how could this happen to me. We waited a long time to have any more children. ...

Re: Redoing triangle tilt

<t>Marnie,<br/> <br/> I emailed you last year about the TT. My son Michael had the surgery in November 2005. We saw Dr. Nath in Chicago in September and he also recommended another surgery. I don't want to sound like a complainer, but how much can these children take. Every time we see Dr. Nath ther...

Basketball

Does anyone have a BPI child that plays basketball. My son is 10 and not very athletic (does well in baseball), but is thinking about playing basketball. I fell like I should let him, but he is so sensitive and I know the other boys his age are much more advanced. What to do?

Surgeries

<t>I don't really know how to ask this question, but here goes. Does anyone feel like there is always another surgery for these kids. My son has had 4 surgeries. I would say he has about 75% use of his arm. But after seeing Dr. Nath, he recommended 2 more surgeries. How much can these kids take. My ...

Re: Does your lobpi son play baseball?

<t>Marnie,<br/> <br/> This is the first year we signed Michael (8) up to play baseball also. He was afraid to play before, I am hoping with the TT surgery he will be better able to play. I wish Peyton luck in playing. I know our friend Mike (adult with BPI) said he kept practicing in his garage befo...

Re: Shortened Humerus

<t>My son also had the nerve surgery at 7 months. He has also had 3 other surgeries. His arm is slightly but not that noticeable. I would say less than 1 inch shorter, but I was always told it was the way he held his shoulder. That is why we just had the triangle tilt surgery in Houston with Dr. Nat...

So excited

My son Michael had the Triange Tilt in November and just got his cast off 8 days ago. He came out of his room this afternoon and had both of his hands clasped behind his back. I don't think he ever did that. He was so calm about it but so proud. Thank you Dr. Nath.

Re: Pray for miners families

I heard they think the one survivor might have brain damage. That is so horrible.

Re: Reminder about some dishonest Taxi drivers

<t>We were just in Houston in November and the same thing happened. We asked the fare before we got into the taxi and he told us 30.00 from the Medical Center to Hobbi Airport. When we got into the car my husband checked the rates and the fare should have been 26.00. So because he lied we gave him 2...
