Re: deoderant issues

My daughter is 7 (she does not have a BPI). On a hot day or one where she is running around or in gym, she has BAD B.O. if she doesn't wear deoderant. Some kids just have active sweat glands and go through the 1st stages of puberty early. I wouldn't be concerned.

Re: Tendon Transfer?

<t>My daughter had a tendon transfer done when she was 25 months old. I am not sure if it is exactly the same as what Malik will have, but they did work with the latisimus doris (sorry if I didn't spell it correctly). She has had an unbelievable recovery. Even Dr. Kozin said she had much better resu...

Re: Anyone seen both Waters and Kozin?

<t>My response goes along with what Kate and Claudia said. We saw Dr. Waters and Dr. Kozin for our daughter who was almost 2 at the time and had not had primary. They both had the same opinion after an MRI and recommended a tendon transfer. Dr. Waters, who we saw first, actually encouraged us to see...

Re: Need your help!

The hotel in City Line is about $140 a night, even with the medical discount. Keep searching, hopefully you will find something less expensive.

Re: Pic of external rotation cast after botox

<t>Is this cast the same as what is done after a tendon transfer? My daughter's cast looks similiar to the picture posted (very cute, by the way!) but it is in a much more upright position (statue of liberty position). If it is the same type of cast, I can email it to you...I have no idea how to pos...

Re: My duaghter and options

<t>It's very tough and you have to go with your gut. Did you actually meet with Dr. Nath or just speak with him over the phone? Sometimes you get a different perspective when you actually meet with someone face to face.<br/> I thought I had made my decision about what I would do...until I actually m...

Re: Cracking or poping sound

Yes, I absolutely remember that happening!! I know my therapist explained it to me, but I can't seem to remember why (I don't remember much these days!). I'm sure someone will be able to shed some light on the issue for you.

advise for a friend

<t>I work with a woman who is due at the end on July. Knowing my story about my daughter's birth, she came to me the other day and said that her doctor is telling her that she is measuring 2 weeks ahead of schedule and that it appears she is having a big baby. (That was exactly what happened to me, ...

school letter

<t>I remember reading either on here or in Outreach a letter written to a teacher (I believe in was written from the child's point of view) describing various issues associated with BPI. It is not the generic one that explains the injury. It was more specific. It talked about sensory issues, and thi...
