delay in handedness becoming apparent?

My child is able to use her arm well (we're not fully recovered), but uses the other one more. Can you tell me when handedness becomes apparent in children with better function?

This may be for kids who did a pretty good recovery without surgery??? Anyone notice that their child's pinky seemed to stay a bit extended (like drinking tea with the queen)? Not majorly so-just seems a bit off the natural movement? If so, was there anything to do about it?

<t>I did not see how there would be a connection either unless the child was injured to more than the BPI per say because a small baby's head (brain) would be near the shoulder dystocia, etc. For example, there seem to be children who have other issues such as to the leg which isn't related to the B...
