Re: Is this true?
I just found out that my BPI arm gets sunburned MUCH faster than my good arm. I live in NH and after a very rainy June the sun finally arrived just in time for July 4th...which we spent at my brother's pool. My BPI arm got so burned it blistered and then scabbed. OUCH!

considering shoulder fusion surgery
<t>Hello all,<br/> <br/> I saw my orthopaedic and neurosurgeon last week and they both agreed that my chances of a meaningful recovery, at this point in time, are slim, but not impossible. I explained how the subluxing, pain and nerve issues seem to be getting worse, despite my dedicated effort at P...

Considering shoulder fusion surgery
<t>Hello all,<br/> <br/> I saw my orthopaedic and neurosurgeon last week and b/c I have not improved (in fact, the subluxing, pain and lack of movement are worsening)they mentioned shoulder fusion may be a viable option. Apparently, I would have little to no pain, no subluxing and most likely, I wou...

<t>Thanks for the replies...you've given me lots to think about. <br/> <br/> Chris, you sound like you've been very aggressive in seeking a solution to your BPI and I was the same way when I was looking to resolve my shoulder issues so that I could get back to my VERY active lifestyle (mom of 5, soc...

Re: twitching thumb and index finger??
<t>Hi Chris,<br/> <br/> I've had three EMG's, all of which were abnormal. I've also had a bunch of x-rays to check on the position of my shoulder replacement, a CAT scan and a bone scan (for a suspected nerve disease (RSD?...which was negative). I've always thought I was getting good care, but your ...

Re: twitching thumb and index finger??
<t>Chris,<br/> <br/> Thanks so much for your reply. Neurolysis is removing the scar tissue from around the nerves. Both my ortho doc (he did the TSR) and a neurosurgeon did the neurolysis surgery. But, unfortunately, it didn't work. My physical therapist said that if nerves are compressed too long, ...

Re: Update
<t>Shaun,<br/> <br/> We are in a similiar situation. (see my recent post..."decompression surgery..update on me). I'm sure our injuries and surgeries were different, but we are both hoping it would wake up our deltoids. My shoulder is also subluxing and I've thought about getting one of the braces m...

Re: Decompression surgery...update on me
<t>Robert,<br/> <br/> Thanks for the reply and the your encouraging attitude!<br/> <br/> The only sling I have is a regular one from post-surgery. It's so restrictive. I've seen a few posts on this web-site with links to all kinds of braces...and some specifically for subluxation. I have thought abo...
