Tanner (male) 16 mths., RBPI, 9lbs. 6oz., Flagstaff, Az. Had some difficulty getting 1st child out when it came to shoulders and voiced concerned about bigger baby this second time around. Had unusual labor, long, not dialating, stuck at 9cm, etc. Had several risk factors and unfortunately had never heard of shoulder dystocia or BPI's, if only I would have been informed!

Tara Grace, born January 29, 2002
loving parents: Brenda & Craig Scamehorn
Mt Vernon WA
Skagit Valley Hospital
8 lbs 9 oz, 20 inches long

I DID NOT HAVE ANY OF THE RISK FACTORS FOR HAVING A CHILD WITH BPI, my daughter was face up and the doctor reached in and pulled her out by her left arm, not only breaking it, but leaving her with BPI.

Mary Elizabeth, born Feb. 15, 2001 RBPI
Kim and Michael Voss
Edward Hospital, Naperville IL
10 pounds, 6 ounces
I had three previous "10 pounders" but only had trouble, a lot of trouble, with the first one. However, this time I was over the age of 40, it had been 8 years since I had had a baby and I was extremely uncomfortable toward the end so the doctor chose to induce because the baby "is so big." Also found out she "damaged" another baby who is also in our support group.
