2nd - 9 lbs. - induced on time - gest. diabetes
3rd - 8 lbs. 4 oz. - on time - no probs.
4th - (at age 42)
10lbs. 1 oz - induced on time - shoulder dystocia
ROBPI
1st (1 hour) diabetes test positive
2nd (3 hour) test negative (hmmmmmmm) now I'm not so sure about that!

I am 5'1 and all of my children have been large.
1st - 9 lbs. 2 oz, 2nd - 9 lbs. 9 oz and our 3rd, our daughter who suffered a BPI to her left arm was 10 lbs 10 oz. Vaginal delivery for all 3. I am due in July with our 4th and this one will be a c-section with the possibility of taking the baby early.

my mother was 4'11".I was a breach and had opened up inside her.The dr.didn't want to do c section because she was young.I was her first and weighed 5lbs.My sister was born three years later and she's fine.That was 50 yrs.ago.

I am 5-11. and weighed (BEFORE JARED!!!)175-180.
My first baby was 5 pounds 2 ounces (4-6 weeks early)
And Jared was 10 pounds 13 ounces (3 weeks early)

I read somewhere that size of the woman can be a factor.. but I am a "large boned" woman... and I still coulndt handle a 10 ponder!
*however I think that the doctor should flagged something when I gained 39 pounds in 6 or 7 days!*

I'm 5'3". My husband is 6'3". My son was 10lbs 10oz and 22.75". Because I'm short, my belly stuck straight out. I, too, could place a dinner plate on my belly. Unfortunately, I took my dr's advice and delivered vaginally. My son suffers from a brachial plexus palsy and I'm recovering from fourth degree tears.

I'm 5'2" Sophie was 8 pounds 11 oz.
