I got it!
Carolyn you were a cheerleader! LOL... well at least you are now... Thank goodness I don't think of those things until someone triggers them... I never told my family what went on... I knew my Mom would be upset and never wanted to make waves...

I loved my basketball coach... she just made me a guard and told me it was because I ran fast... never mentioned my problems with shooting... ( we had different rules for girls basketball)

Oh yes this brings back the memories. I tried playing basketball however, I couldn't dribble with my left hand. That dirty coach would put me in a room by myself and make me dribble with my left arm until I cried. Grrr....Needless to say I didn't pursue basketball. I was in track. I threw the shot put and the discus. I also tried the javelin. You only needed one arm to do that!! I also was a cheerleader. Only for one year. I think they wanted me because of my loud mouth not my abilities! Hehehe...The coach would always ask me to straigten out my arm and it was very frustrating. I couldn't. I tried volley ball as well and every time the ball would hit my left arm it would fly off the opposite direction. *L* I played the trumpet (crookedly). Now I cross country ski a lot. It hurts the ol arm but its a great work out.
Oh I forgot to mention softball! I too had to rip my mitt off with my right hand to catch the ball. Eventually I got to where I could use the mitt with my left hand. I sure miss softball. I haven't played since my mod quad. I might try to get into it again this summer.
