Years ago, someone started a post and I think Ohio and Michigan had a large number of OBPI. I don't know the stats on TBPI.

Interesting...

If you look at the statistics for Oregon in the last Outreach they were the highest per 1000 births.

I also think that the appearance of a concentration of BPI events in the Northeast is very interesting as well. I wonder how many of these families relocated to the Northeast because of its greater availability of services? I think that many of us would be interested to learn where in the BPI is most likely to occur. So I would like to make the suggestion that people when contributing to the site identify not their current residence, but where the injury occured. For example, I currently live in a very rural area, but the injury occured in a very urban area...

Otherwise forgive my suggestion if I offend anyone, I am a statistician. If we post from our current residence, then this site is valueable for its social and support purposes, but if we post the location of the injury this sites serves prehaps a greater epidemiological purpose in identifying the source, hence possibly reducing the incidence, of BPI injuries.

Of course, you could have a second map for that purpose

I think a second map for that purpoce would be neat. I know I posted where I currently live which is about 3 hours from where my injury occured.

You know I was thinking about the same thing. WE lived in California, the injury occured in California but now we live in Illinois. It would be cool to do a map that shows where the injuries are occuring. I am too computer illiterate to try something like this, but think it would be great to see where these injuries are happening !!!
