Do you regret not having the surgery as an infant? Is there anything you cannot do that you wish you could and would have been able to do had you had surgical intervention? I'm asking because I have to make this decision for my 14 month old daughter, whether or not to proceed with surgical intervention. Her BPI is C8-T1, she only has shoulder function. She has no elbow, hand or wrist function or sensation. Please forgive me if my questions are too nosy.

Dear Kristen,

I am a grandma who has struggled with issues concerning my children and now my grand-daughter who has robpi. I have looked back over the years and wished
I had done things differently for their sakes. I have had to not let my fears, such as surgeries stop the best decision for them. I have let the experts who have such special talents, that I personally feel they were given by a higher power (God), help me to make the right choices for my loved ones. I truly send my
prayers to you and your little one.
