KAth,
The brace thing will give me more stability in the shoulder area and help with subluxation. (http://www.arkpcb.com/) I will be in the Chicago area on the 4th and heading to Milwakee on the 5th to see some family. I would love to catch up with you and have lunch or dinner or something being that I will be in the area. Maybe dinner on the 5th? I have to do the fittings for the brace first! Email me and we can set something up maybe! Talk to you soon!

Allison,
I ma sure that much of the pain is due to them moving the nerves around in there but I promise you that the weather does not help! I WANT A HOT TUB! or to live in a warm state! My physio said today that he could feel my bicep tighting! I guess that is a good thing, He also said that it is a GREAT thing that my mind still knows how to do it! At PT I lay on a table and I extend my arm, then he assists and says bend it, and I try but it wont go anywhere! I told him that I can see myself doing it and that I feel like there is a door to the muscle nad it just wont open! Its crazy!!! Thats great that you are feeling something! Maybe something is coming back! I Will take a picture of me and my PINK brace and send it to you too, might be interested? no? Take care and be in touch!

Hey Courtney, I think the strange skin sensations are just the little nerves acting up in the arm, there's millions of them right? What exactly does the pink brace do? I only wear my sling during physical activity and when my arm has just had enough of hanging down all day. Otherwise I just go without any sling or brace. The problem with my current sling is that there is a loop that holds my hand in place so that when I bend forward the arm doesn't go sliding forward out of the sling. The bad thing is I can't put a mit or glove on and use the loop, it's just too tight. I think the correct use of that loop is only for a thumb with a proper working hand that can actually hold on. Anyways, I'll probably need to modify something up if I'm going to be outside a lot in the winter and keep that arm inside the jacket.

Will you ever do the shoulder fusion? Is this brace in place of doing that? Which one are you being fitted for? What use doo you have, hand? elbow flextion? Who are your doctors? I know you're in MI, right?
And our trip??? Vegas, baby!! I'm telling you we could get a head count and do a group rate thing through a travel agency and maybe if we tell them them we're part of BPI group we could do even better?? What do you think? I need heat to be comfortable.

Kath,
No I am not htinking about shoulder fusion! I Hope I never have to! No this brace will not be in place of it. It will just help to support it as I am getting rid of the sling and it works great with the supination brace too! I see Dr. Nath in Texas and Dr. Wolff in Kentucky. I have about 80% hand fgunction back! YEAH! Some shoulder muscles but not much! No elbow flection yet but thats what the last surgery was for so we are waiting to see now!! Keep your fingers crossed for me!! I Will try and get in touch with my travel agent and see about a package deal for Vegas and see what we can get! GREAT IDEA!!

TENS describes a method of treatment for relief of pain or stimulation of the muscles. It is
simply a short hand way of saying Transcutaneous Electronic Nerve Stimulation. You can
carry it with ease and use anywhere.
