Hello all!
My TBPI is on my right and is complete. I play the xbox and xbox360 just with my left hand. If you sit on the couch and hold the controller such that the pointy parts are towards your legs you have access to all of the buttons. Control the left stick with the palm and the right stick with your fingers. It may sound really awkward but, it is just as good as having two arms! I can take pictures if anyone cares to see.
Cheers,
Andrew

Hi!
After reading these posts, I looked up one handed gaming peripherals and found this. It is a one handed controller that works for Playstation 2 and Playstation 3 and PC. All of the buttons can be arranged any way that you want them. Works for left handed or right handed use. We purchased one and it works great!

Just bought a PS3 for my sons Xmas.
I noticed the controller is the dual shock 3 but I bought an extra controller thats called sixaxis. Wasn't exactly sure what this could do so checked it out on the internet. To my surprise it is motion sensitive like the wiimote but seemigly not quite as good!
Anyhow my question to all you gamers out there, is this controller any good for operating one handed. I did read a post somewhere online and someone stated they played motor storm one handed. And if you go on youtube you can watch someone playing F1 and a war plane game (maybe Warhawk) using the sixaxis motion sensor.
Anyone any comments?
Best wishes
Mike

Yea, Mike hi. I've played motorstorm with one hand.
It was awesome. I used to be left handed so using my right hand wore me out but I only quit when I had to. Not 'cause I wanted to.
Good Luck,
Scott

i picked up a Wii since the accident, and just got call of duty 5 last week, im hooked on it know. it comes with a gun that the Wii controllers slide into so it works out good for me. (can move my fingers a bit)
if anyone has the game and wants to hook up online let me know!

Man i thought i had it so bad with my injury and there was no one that had it worse then me. boy was i wrong.
Anyway when i started playing COD i found it extremly hard and almost gave up the first hour, i would try to position my hand on the wii nunchuck (cuz my fingers have little movement) and my arm would just fall off, very fusterating. but eventually got pretty good at it.
but for your situation i think i have a solution. if you have patience this can be done pretty easy. i just tried and got a bunch of kills my first attempt online.
If you really want to play (awesome game) go to wal-mart get COD WORLD AT WAR and the Wii Zapper gun , (the gun comes with a zelda target game to help you practice-only $20.00-) grab a seat, cross your legs , take off your socks and blast away. I used my big toe to shoot and when i needed to run just moved it to the A button or arrows to jump. I took a few pics of me in the process , i'll put the links up and hopefully they work.
i thought it would be hard going with the feet but its not even that bad, i can still run, jump, cycle weapons, reload all with my toes. and i just tried it, i only played two 10 minute rounds online. but i did find the game really hard with my hands when i first started playing it so i guess its up to yourself.
i don't know about you but lately i have nothing but time on my hands.
I don't know how bad you really want to play but to answer your question can this game be played with one hand? Yes! and a few toes!
And a good tip if you decide to get the game, find a position that your comfortable with. that was one of my biggest problems at first.
few pics - take a look if you like:
