My son had his accident in Aug 04, he had just graduated from H.S. He has his own lawn mowing business (he does the work) and he works for a construstion company (out in the field), he can also weld. This injury does not have to keep you from working and making a living. You just adapt and keep on going (or you'll go crazy)!

..adapt and keep going...good sound advice!

We have a member of the TBPI Group here in the UK who carried on with her job as a pharmacist after getting a serious TBPI following a car accident. Many of our members are back at work, even after some have had the arm amputated (not suggesting amputation, but just making a point :0)

Have a look at our website http://www.tbpiukgroup.homestead.com/index_1.html Click on the Community heading and you'll see links to stories and other stuff showing that these injuries need not be a barrier to doing most of what you want to do. The biggest battle is the one in your head, but you will win!

Good luck...
