BPP Water therapy
BPP Water therapy
Does anyone know were we can get info on water/ pool therapy for our 18 mo. ? Ive serched the net all day and found nothing.
Re: BPP Water therapy
You know when the rehab specialist started to get us involved in water therapy I looked all over for info on it but I didn't find anything that would help me for the BPI injury.
I do know that it helps bring blood flow to the muscles and the resistance of the water is great for strengthening. The pool they use is heated and she really enjoys it. She really tolerates the weight bearing much, much more in the water. It really has helped Jessica. She's been much more loose and not as stiff as she was before we started the water therapy.
I hope this helps a litte bit. Good luck on your search.

Tell us where you are from and maybe someone can recommend a facility to you that has aquatic therapy.

Sorry, I thought you said you were looking for a facility. It may still help if you have somewhere near you that has this therapy available b/c you can meet with them and talk about the benefits of being in the pool.

We are from north-west missouri and we have a heated pool here in town. I'd love to find some info so I could do this with her .

If a baby crys when there in the water dont go fruther! If the baby smiles and likes it in bathing thats great!Than comes a bath and small toys they can play with,Then comes the pool.My mom did all of this above she did all of the above and helded me in the pool it is all about that,She didnt know till later that she gave a release for me to do a mile swim in boyscouts, I did it one handed and she was so proud of me ,Later before she died she found out I became a master diver! My mom help me to do what ever I could with my Erbs Arm! She gave me my determiation to try! The side affect of that was I became a Fish!Tom
